The Hoshen was a breastplate made by B'nei Israel when they traveled from Egypt to Israel and it was first worn by the High Priest Aaron in the Tabernacle, and subsequently worn by every high priest since whilst performing holy duties. The breastplate was set with 12 different precious stones, each stone representing one tribe as an expression of faith and optimism. Each bracelet comes with a document outlining the meaning of each stone – Carnelian, Topaz, Beryl, Turqoise, Lapis Lazuli, Quartz, Amber, Agate, Amethyst, Chrysolite, Onyx and Jasper.
